Barry J. Nordstrand joined Solutran in 2005 as President and CEO. He is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan, along with building a company culture that will help maintain a sustainable competitive advantage. 

Mr. Nordstrand previously served as head of Fixed Income at Piper Jaffray. In this role, he ran one of Piper Jaffray’s three divisions, reporting directly to the CEO, and acted as a member of the firm’s management committee. Prior to accepting this position in 2002, Mr. Nordstrand served in various product management, trading management, and trading roles in Piper Jaffray’s Fixed Income and Equities divisions.

Mr. Nordstrand holds a bachelor's degree from St. Olaf College and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

Joseph F. Keller has been with Solutran for over 20 years and has held various positions within the company. He served as president of Solutran from 1993 to 2005 and CEO from 2001 to 2005 before moving into his current role as Director.

Michelle Kocur is manager of product development at Solutran and has been with the company since 1998. As manager of product development, Ms. Kocur has been instrumental in developing the company’s comprehensive returned check management, Double PostCard, Back Office Conversion, and Electronic Check (ACH) products. Ms. Kocur is responsible for overseeing Solutran’s product department, conducting market research, building product specifications, developing and conducting internal and external product training, and establishing product pricing. She also assists Solutran’s National Account Executives and Account Managers in educating clients and prospects on various product applications.

Ms. Kocur has over 14 years of marketing and product development experience. She participates in many industry initiatives including NACHA workgroups and TAWPI and earned her Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) accreditation in 2004. 

Cindy Neiderhiser joined Solutran in 2001 as operations manager before moving into her current position of Director of Client Services. The Client Service team is the “touch point” and “voice” for Solutran’s existing clients. This team works closely with all Solutran divisions to ensure our clients are well educated on how our services are delivered, that implementations are timely and seamless, and products are delivered to customer specification.

Before joining Solutran, Cindy held operations and product management positions at Select Comfort, M&I Data Services and Travelers Express Company. 

Carmen Nordstrand has been with Solutran since 1988, working first as a National Account Executive in Sales and then as a controller in the benefits, accounting, and finance department before attaining her current position in the company overseeing accounting and finance, operations, and human resources.  

As a senior management team member, she is very involved in the strategic direction of the company and in identifying new product opportunities, assuring on-going execution and effective delivery of products that exceed customer expectations while ensuring growth in revenue and profitability. Carmen plays a critical role in identifying and implementing strategic relationships with banks and other partnerships supporting new products, operational processes, or customer needs.

She is very involved in the Accredited Standards Committee X9 working with industry leaders developing standards and technical reports for the Financial Services Industry with a particular focus on IRD (substitute check) production, file delivery for image exchange and quality.

Carmen holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College and serves as a board member for the local chapter of Young Audiences.
