SOLUTRAN ANNOUNCES BOARD OF ADVISORS ADDITIONS

 

Jeannine Rivet, UnitedHealth Group Executive Vice President and Todd Firebaugh, Piper Jaffray Chief Administration Officer Join Solutran Board

 

Minneapolis – (February 22, 2006) – Solutran®, a nationwide treasury management service provider, has added UnitedHealth Group Executive Vice President, Jeannine Rivet and Piper Jaffray Chief Administration Officer, Todd Firebaugh to its Board of Advisors.

About Rivet
As Executive Vice President of UnitedHealth Group, Jeannine Rivet works with and on behalf of all business segments in areas focused on external strategic and business relationship management, customer and public relations, business integration, and regulatory relations. She serves as UnitedHealth Group’s executive liaison to the pharmaceutical industry.

Rivet joined UnitedHealth Group (then United HealthCare Corporation) in 1990  and was later named Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Health Plan Division, a position she held until 1998. From 1998 through 2000, Rivet held the role of Chief Executive Officer of United HealthCare. From 2001 to 2003, she served as Executive Vice President of UnitedHealth Group and Chief Executive Officer of Ingenix. From December 2003 through 2005, Rivet continued as Executive Vice President of UnitedHealth Group and was named Chief Executive Officer and President of Optum®. 

Rivet received a Masters in Public Health from Boston University. She also holds a B.S. in Nursing from Boston College and was a registered nurse for several years prior to entering the managed care industry.

For three consecutive years, 1998-2000, Rivet was recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the fifty most powerful women in American business. In 1999, she was named by Minnesota’s City Business as one of the most influential women in business. 

 

About Firebaugh
Todd Firebaugh joined Piper Jaffray at the beginning of 2004 and serves as Chief Administrative Officer. He is responsible for Strategic Planning, Marketing and Public Relations, Business Technology, Human Resources, Employee and Community Development, and Investor Relations. Previously, he held product and general management positions at Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase and, most recently, U.S. Bancorp.

Firebaugh earned his Master of Business Administration degree in marketing from New York University and a bachelor's degree in history from Cornell University, where he graduated with distinction.

Firebaugh is a trustee of the Science Museum of Minnesota. He is also a past director of the United Way of Minneapolis.
