Solutran's dynamic payment decisioning engine enables you to consolidate all of your payment types onto one platform, thereby accessing least cost routing while streamlining reconciliation and data decisioning from point of deposit to returns management and subsequent re-presentments. Our payment decisioning engine will process your complete check payment file and determine the least cost settlement route based on client-driven setup parameters, settlement cost, and funds availability. Whatever the method of payment, you send just one item for decisioning while retaining the freedom and flexibility to change your bank relationships.

Exclusive Settlement Decisioning Logic
Solutran will prepare and settle your ACH, substitute check, and image exchange* files. These files travel through our decisioning engine comprised of several components, including our MICRefine™ system, which offers in one repository six years of knowledge on ACH eligibility and repair accumulated by Solutran on consumer payments to national retailers and billers. Also included are least cost routing logic and unique client setup parameters.

Payment Decisioning Engine: How It Works
Payments originated via remote capture, telephone, Internet, point-of-sale, or lockbox, are sent in one file to Solutran. Upon receipt, the file will be processed through our payment decisioning engine where, using a series of client setup parameters, funds availability, and settlement logic, it will determine which settlement path — ACH, substitute check, or image exchange — is best in terms of least cost routing and eligibility. The items are then routed for settlement.

Solutran can also manage your returns process, including re-presentments, consolidating all payment types into one view for our clients.
