Q: How does encryption work?
A:   Before any of the information you send us (e.g. username and password) enters the Solutran SOAR system, it is transformed into an unreadable form (encryption) hidden from anyone for whom it is not intended. Once the information has reached its intended destination system, it is transformed back to readable form (decryption).

Q: What does authentication mean?
A:   Authentication is the process used to validate the eligibility of a user entering the SOAR system. Authentication protects your company's accounts and confidential information by verifying your SOAR username and associated password.

Q: Why can I only use specific browsers for SOAR?
A:   Specific browsers are required because a browser with insufficient encryption capabilities could potentially jeopardize the privacy and safety of your account information.

Q: How can I update the encryption on my browser?
A:   The following browsers are supported:

- Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 4.0 or higher

Q:   What can I do to protect my company's account and confidential information while banking online?
A:   The following are tips for secure SOAR:
  1. Do not share your password with anyone
  2. Memorize your password — do not write it down
  3. Use 128-bit encryption on your browser (this is automatically verified by SOAR)
  4. When conducting a SOAR session, do not leave your terminal unattended
  5. Remember to logoff from SOAR when you are done (click the logout button at the top of the SOAR screen)
  6. If you believe your password may have been compromised, contact Solutran to have it changed.
  7. Use the security features already built-in to your browser
  8. Be alert for potential fraudulent transaction; view your account activity frequently

Q: What are cookies and how do they affect SOAR security?
A: A cookie is a small piece of information, stored on you computer by a website you have visited, that is used to remind that site about you the next time it is visited by you. We may use cookies to enhance our clients' ability to navigate our site more easily. For certain applications, such as SOAR, we use cookies to protect our customers by automatically terminating the session if the client forgets to logout.
