SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst I is responsible for performing product analysis, market research, and cost and financial modelling. The Financial Analyst I will also identify process improvements and opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiencies. Financial Analysts are financial and operational subject matter experts across Solutran products and will work across multiple teams and departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in pricing across all products
    • Prepare pricing proposals
    • Benchmark vs. competitors
    • Assist in revising, updating, and improving the pricing model templates as needed and work to simplify them for easier use by other departments
  • Support requirements documentation for new processes or product features/functionality. Conduct financial and pricing analyses to support associated decision making.
  • Support strategic projects for executive leadership via market and product research for new product and growth opportunities. Conduct financial analysis to evaluate opportunities.
  • Responsible for compiling and reporting key data as requested by others.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of various accounting and financial reports, including analysis of vendor cost trends.
  • Assist with non-automated invoicing activities including data collection and cash receipt preparation.
  • Responsible for generation and management of purchase orders.
  • Responsible for daily reconciliation associated with transaction processing and settlement.
  • Improving/automating internal processes surrounding financial commitments (purchase orders, invoicing, etc.).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0-2 years of business, finance or other relevant experience
  • BA or BS degree required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Strong analytical, data gathering and market research skills
  • Good business acumen
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to constant improvement
  • Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting, finance, or economics background
  • Familiarity with financial modeling and techniques
  • Familiarity with Excel formulas and functions

The position is an office-based position.
