Barry is a strategic leader who fosters employee growth and well-being within Solutran. He is passionate about maintaining success in legacy businesses as well as pursuing future growth opportunities. Prior to Solutran, Barry held leadership positions within Piper Jaffray and Fixed Income Capital Markets Division. Barry holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College as well as a master’s degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Barry and his wife, Carmen, have three children and four grandchildren. Barry is referred to by some as “slightly crazy” due to his passion of running mountain trails and ultra-marathons (as if 26.2 miles just wasn’t enough).

Jason has led the Information Technology department since joining Solutran in 2006, and has overseen the technical build for Solutran’s best-in-class public and private sector highly available EBT platforms. Prior to Solutran, Jason was the Director of Corporate Applications for a pharmaceutical market research startup in Philadelphia, and an Oracle architect for the Unisys Global Outsourcing division. Jason is credited to be the only member of the Leadership Team to have watched both versions of the movie “Tron”.  Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife Tanwi, daughter Raina, and two gigantic dogs, Percy and Smokey. His hobbies include fishing, hiking, and dreaming of his beloved Vikings winning a Super Bowl during his lifetime.

Chad is a marketing junkie who spends his time creating new initiatives and awareness for the expansion of Healthy Savings and other electronic engagement rewards. He is passionate about improving the health of Americans using technology to make it easy for everyone. Prior to Solutran, Chad served as CMO of Piper Jaffray and Unlimited Peak. Chad holds a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus, and a master’s degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Chad and his wife Shelly have five children. His favorite getaway is to northern Minnesota – to boat, paddleboard, fish, read and eat (mostly) healthy foods.

Carmen is among the most tenured employees at Solutran having started with the company in 1998. As COO, she is said to have a game plan for everything. She plays a role in helping define the strategic direction of the firm and oversees the operational, day-to-day aspects of the business. Carmen awakes early most days (before 5:00!) with a passion for delivering services that exceed customer expectations while looking for process improvements. Carmen holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College. Carmen and her husband, Barry, have three children and four grandchildren. Carmen usually has a game plan around the kitchen, too, as she loves to cook and entertain family and friends.

Brian is a retired Air Force officer who joined Solutran in 2017 after more than 25 years of military service. His extensive leadership and project management experience in the federal government made him a natural fit to lead our Government Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) portfolio. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and master’s degrees from Saint Martin’s University in Lacy, Washington and The Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Brian and his wife Sara have two children, who have spent as much of their lives living overseas as they have in the United States. As a Minnesota native, Brian is an avid golfer and a massive fan of the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Wild, and even the Gophers.

Matt is a compassionate leader who cares tremendously about his employees. He is intensely focused on the success of Solutran’s customers because it is the key to growth in the business. Prior to Solutran, Matt held sales leadership positions at Conservis Corp and SPS Commerce. Matt holds a bachelor’s degree from Bellevue University in Omaha, NE along with a master’s degree from the University of St Thomas. When not at work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife Kamie and their daughter Caroline. The Moen family is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys spending time on the boat, on their bikes, or running around the lakes in Minneapolis. They also enjoy the finer things in life, like sparkling water.

Suzanne found her passion for organizational effectiveness and talent development early and hasn’t stopped chasing that passion since.  As Chief Human Resources Officer, she is focused on organizational health, leading our Human Resources and Internal Communications functions.  Her best days are those where she is able to ideate with others across the business to uncover creative solutions to customer needs.  Prior to joining Solutran, Suzanne held HR leadership positions in financial services, most recently at Prudential.  Suzanne holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of St. Benedict.  She and her husband Peter have one daughter.  Her “happy places” are riding horses, creating in the kitchen or garden, and spending time with family and friends enjoying every season our state has to offer.

Mike leads Solutran’s finance team, focusing on financial management and strategic growth initiatives. Mike joined Solutran from UnitedHealth Group’s Corporate Development team where he played a leading role in evaluating and executing strategic acquisitions. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Olaf College as well as an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He could also be a CFA charterholder, but has stubbornly refused to pay the annual dues. Mike enjoys traveling the world, discovering new restaurants and almost any outdoor activity.
