Minneapolis, MN (Jun 20, 2017) — Solutran is proud to announce it has successfully completed three EBT implementations across three different EBT technologies in the past three weeks. The implementations were accomplished for eWIC, Smart Card WIC, and SNAP. This marks the first time in the EBT industry that a single provider has an active solution across all three technologies.
“It is rewarding to achieve an industry first, but our primary mission is to serve our clients with leading technology and intensive customer service,” said Barry Nordstrand, CEO of Solutran.
- SNAP – May 20th, Solutran executed a complete cutover of the Montana SNAP system from an internally managed EBT system to Solutran’s EBT platfom. In industry leading time, Solutran completed cutover in three hours.
- Smart Card WIC – June 5th, Solutran began processing New Mexico, Pueblo of Isleta, and Cherokee Nation claims moving from an in-house EBT process.
- eWIC – June 8th, Solutran kicked off the pilot phase of a staged implementation for Montana WIC which is moving from paper vouchers to eWIC.
In 2016, Solutran processed over 17 million EBT transactions representative of nearly $500 million in food purchased at more than 2,500 retailers. Solutran has provided processing support for WIC programs since 1989 across 61 state and Inter-Tribal Organizations WIC programs across the country. For more information, visit www.Solutran.com.
