Milwaukee, WI (Sept 01, 2015) — UnitedHealthcare Healthy Savings members will now be able to receive up to $3 off a tray of produce at participating Farmers Markets including the Oneida and Camerson Park Farmers Markets.

The Healthy Savings program is available to people in Wisconsin who are enrolled in a UnitedHealthcare fully insured employer-sponsored, self-funded employer, individual exchange, Medicaid SSI, and BadgerCare Plus Medicaid health plans.

“We are excited to offer the program at our market and see UnitedHealthcare members around the market as a result of this program. We are pleased to help connect members with our local farmers,” said Bill Ver Voort, Onedia Farmer Market Manager.

Over 2,000 pounds of produce has been purchased at Farmers Markets through the Healthy Savings program since it started in 2013 with nine Farmers Markets in Minnesota. The program has grown to include over 30 markets.

Each week, Healthy Savings members receive announcements on dates when participating Farmers Markets are offering the promotion. Members simply present their Healthy Savings card at the information booth to receive their $3 voucher that can be used towards any fresh produce purchase at the market. For more promotion details and a full list of participating markets members can visit the program website www.uhcwihealthysavings.com.
